Welcome to the website for the first Sigma Theta Tau (STTI)  European Conference: Diversity Across Europe: Implications for Nursing which is to be held at the Maldron Hotel, Cardiff, on  July 12 – July 14 2012.

This conference aims to:

  • Bring together nurse leaders from diverse clinical and academic settings from Europe and further a field to stimulate networking and collaboration among STTI members and others.
  • Enable participants to understand the diversity of nursing across Europe and the role of STTI in developing nursing across Europe and the rest of the world.
  • Promote and develop global excellence in nursing knowledge, research and nursing leadership
  • To stimulate networking and debate, the conference will include a variety of keynote papers, concurrent sessions, posters, and workshops, and a lively social programme.

The conference is open to both members and non-members of STTI. The conference working language is English.

On-line registration is available and for further information, including prices, please click on Registration in the left-hand panel. There are discounted rates for STTI members and for students. On-line registration will close on 15th June 2012

Welsh Banquet
An optional evening event is planned on the Friday evening; there will be a grand banquet at Cardiff Castle and guests are welcome. The cost of £45 includes a meal, entertainment, and a tour of the castle. Just click on the appropriate heading in the left hand pane of this page. Please note that this banquet MUST be booked and paid for at the time of registration.

Accommodation
Registration for the conference does not include accommodation. Accommodation at special rates at a range of hotels from budget to 5-star (all within 5 minutes walk of the Maldron Hotel) is arranged through Cardiff Convention (Accommodation) Bureau. Call for abstracts
Abstracts for the main programme closed on March 2nd. The Scientific Committee chaired by Dr. Angela Kydd has reviewed all submitted , of which 36 oral papers and 29 posts have been accepted.
